Peter Mazzone has been practicing law since 1995, focusing primarily on Criminal Defense and Personal Injury. Following law school, he became a staff attorney at the Snohomish County Public Defenders Association where he practiced for five years before co-founding the law firm of Phillips and Mazzone, Lawyers in 2001. Since then the firm has evolved to become Mazzone and Cantor LLP. During this period, Peter Mazzone has become a distinguished criminal defense lawyer as he is one of only a select group of lawyers who are qualified to handle death penalty cases. In fact, Mr. Mazzone was able to successfully convince a jury to spare one of his clients from a death sentence. Furthermore, Mr. Mazzone has recently won “NOT GUILTY” verdicts in some rather complex murder trials in the State of Washington. He has lectured on various topics of criminal defense strategies to other practicing attorneys and has earned a reputation of being a well respected and highly skilled litigator in State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Mazzone holds a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law (‘95), as well as a Ph.D. in Geology (‘88) from the University of Massachusetts.
